Religion in Ecuador

Among the old churches are new ones and many more being built by the Catholic Church. The Evangelical Missionary Union represents many Protestants (4.1% of the population) in Ecuador; Anglican churches in Ecuador belong to Province 9 of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America. Other religions are present in small numbers: Eastern Orthodox Church / Eastern Orthodoxy, Mormonism, Buddhism, Judaism and Islam. Because most of the country is catholic, they celebrate with Christmas Mass.
